1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or accessing Unwritten Chronicles ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy, which is a part of these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms are an agreement between you and Dream Mosaic LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). We may change these Terms by posting the updated version here and changing the "Last Updated" date above. Before we make changes, we will notify you by email or by clear notice on the Service. If you continue to use the Service after an update, then you accept the updated Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Service. By creating an account, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old
  • You are legally able to agree to these Terms
  • Your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction

If you are under 18, you may not use the Service for any reason. We may terminate accounts where we believe the user is under 18.

3. Accounts

3a. Registration

You must provide a valid email address and create a username to register. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

3b. Account Accuracy

You agree to provide accurate and complete information at registration and to keep it up to date. We may suspend or terminate accounts where information is found to be false or misleading.

3c. One Account Per Person

Each person may maintain only one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions — including free credit limits — is prohibited and may result in permanent termination of all associated accounts.

4. Credits and Payments

4a. Credit System

Unwritten Chronicles uses a credit-based system. Credits are purchased in bundles and consumed as you interact with the Service. Credits have no cash value and are non-refundable except as required by law.

4b. Pricing

Credit bundle prices are displayed at the time of purchase. Price changes do not affect credits already purchased.

4c. Payment Processing

Payments are processed by Paddle, who acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions. When you make a purchase, you are transacting directly with Paddle under Paddle's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We do not access or store your payment information.

4d. Free Credits

We may give free credits to accounts. Free credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and are subject to the same terms as purchased credits. Details of any free credit offering, including amounts and expiration, are set by us and may change at any time. Abuse of any free credit offers — including creating multiple accounts — is prohibited.

5. Content and Conduct

5a. Mature Content

The Service offers content of varying maturity levels. You are responsible for selecting the maturity of the content that you prefer and for ensuring no minors have access to your account.

5b. Inputs and Outputs

The Service is an AI-driven experience. You provide inputs — including character names, campaign titles, action choices, and in-game decisions — and the Service generates narrative content, imagery, and game responses in return. The creative output is generated by the Service's AI systems; your inputs guide the experience but do not make you the author of the generated content.

We grant you a personal license to enjoy, share, stream, and create fan content from the Service, including monetized streams and fan content.

We may use session interactions to operate, maintain, and improve the Service, consistent with our Privacy Policy. Dream Mosaic will not use your gameplay data to train its own AI models without your explicit consent. Session data is processed by third-party AI providers to generate the game content you receive; those providers handle data under their own terms and policies.

5c. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Generate content that is illegal under applicable law
  • Harass, threaten, or harm other users
  • Attempt to circumvent content moderation systems
  • Generate content for or share content with minors
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or copy the Service's AI systems, prompts, or outputs at scale
  • Build a competing product or service
  • Sell access to its content
  • Systematically reproduce or redistribute its content at scale
  • Introduce malware, bots, or automated scripts to interact with the Service

6. Multiplayer

The Service supports multiplayer campaigns. The player who creates a campaign ("the Host") is responsible for:

  • Inviting players and managing campaign access
  • Ensuring all invited players have accepted these Terms
  • The conduct of their campaign within the Service

Player limits per campaign are described in the Service documentation. We are not responsible for disputes between players in a shared campaign.

7. Our Intellectual Property

All software, AI systems, prompts, interfaces, branding, and content that make up the Service are the property of Dream Mosaic LLC or its licensors. These Terms do not give you ownership rights in the Service.

8. Third-Party Providers

The Service uses third-party service providers to operate. Your use of the Service may be subject to those providers' terms and privacy policies.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. AI-generated content is not guaranteed to be accurate, appropriate, or fit for any particular purpose, and is provided for entertainment purposes only.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Dream Mosaic LLC will not be liable to you for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, or lost goodwill — arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 90 days before the claim arose.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation of certain damages, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, without prior notice.

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at the email address below with the subject line "Terminator." Include your account email address and username so we can verify your identity before processing the request.

Upon termination, unused credits are forfeited unless otherwise required by law.

12. Enforcement and Severability

If we do not enforce a part of these Terms on one occasion, that does not mean we have given up our right to enforce it later. If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, we will narrow it if we can and remove it only if we must. The rest of these Terms will still apply.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, regardless of where you are located. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Austin, Texas, and you agree that those courts have jurisdiction over any such disputes.
